I think nothing beats a llms.txt: https://fumadocs.dev/llms.txt or llms-full.txt, Orama Cloud is supporting MCP server soon so stay tuned

That’s fine, but having an MCP server makes development much simpler for beginners and for those who encounter errors during setup or while migrating from breaking changes.

If you have plans to support this, please let us know — otherwise close this issue.

@fuma-nama when using Orama Cloud, we provide a free MCP server for each Fumadocs website. This MCP server currently exposes two tools:

• Search (can be full-text, vector, hybrid, auto)
• NLP Search (search in natural language)

It's already included for all Fumadocs users, we could just expose the endpoint in the Fumadocs UI.

llms-full.txt have flaws. If you have large docs. it will take much of the llm context window.

I mean when fuma integrated into nextjs, we can have a built-in mcp server.

it should not be a default feature, MCP server relies on the hosting platform and is not so needed in general, which gives higher barrier to deploy. Simply letting your AI to search at /api/search?query or crawling the docs would be sufficient, opt-in for those with more needs.
