Flameshot does not always correctly copy to clipboard

Description

I have the flameshot background daemon running, and when I open flameshot gui and copy to clipboard, sometimes it works fine. Other times it doesn't work, and my clipboard remains whatever I had copy/pasted previously. I always get a gnome notification that the screenshot was copied to clipboard, but it actually hasn't been.

Using Flameshot from APT instead of AppImage fixed the problem.

Force writing via pipeline: modify the shortcut command as follows:

#use hotkey to trigger
flameshot gui -r | wl-copy

The -r option makes Flameshot output the raw image data to stdout, which is then taken over by wl-copy and stored in the clipboard. This approach bypasses Flameshot's built-in clipboard logic and is very stable under Wayland.

This isn't ideal because it only works with the -r flag. I want the option to choose saving to a file or copying to clipboard from the GUI, and copying to clipboard doesn't work with wl-copy when not using -r. (The -r flag is --raw, which forces the output to STDOUT only.) Also the --clipboard flag doesn't work.

OS: Bazzite Linux, Wayland (Mumble), Kernel Version 6.17.7
