Bring back translucent background

Hi, would it be possible to bring back the terminal background with a bit of opacity, light transparency, or blur? It looks stylish and brings back that fun and welcoming feeling. Just like in older versions, but using the new GTK4 technologies.

Looks like it was removed because of this issue #632. I guess it could be made an option?

The fix only did change the defaults available opacity i think ? The setting still exists

As command, on dark this would restore the old translucency:
gsettings set io.elementary.terminal.settings background 'rgba(46, 46, 46, 0.95)'

And on light:
gsettings set io.elementary.terminal.settings background 'rgba(253, 246, 227, 0.95)'

But i am not sure it works on Gtk4/Wayland as apps and systems are kept more separate
Maybe only in the classic/Unsecure session ?

I should have said "expose the setting in the UI". There is a custom theme option at the moment but it does not include a transparency setting.

Oh the answer was more intended for manu20247, so they can (maybe) get it working on their side (and any person coming across this answer)

Just making an easy quick solution available in the meantime :3

see #879 for a proof of principle PR. Not a lot of extra code, but requires design team approval for the extra UI.

@manu20247 As @danirabbit has pointed out, you can in fact adjust the transparency of the background using the color-chooser dialog to add a custom color to a custom theme.
