Feature CUDA disabled

What happened?

I'm doing an "vanilla" build using the NVHPC compilers but no special settings.
CUDA is installed under /usr/local/cuda. Is there a setting like

-D CUDA=/usr/local/cuda

that I need to make? I don't see anything about this on the website.

What are the steps to reproduce the bug?

cmake -S ../distro -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr/local
make install

Dear @cponder apologies for late reply, only noticed this now.

The eckit build system internally uses CMake's find_package to find CUDAToolkit to find the CUDA libraries.
You can use the documentation of FindCUDAToolkit to see all options you could set in the environment or as cmake arguments to help cmake detect the desired CUDA installation.
I could advise to set the CUDAToolkit_ROOT environment variable.

In addition, by default CUDA is not enabled. To enable, please add -DENABLE_CUDA=ON to the cmake command-line.
