What's wrong?

Makkah city is missing under the Makkah Region (state) in the Saudi Arabia database.

The region Makkah exists, but its main city Makkah is not added to the city table under this state.

What should it be?

Add Makkah city linked to state_id 2850 in the city table.

Makkah (listed as "Mecca") is already present in the Saudi Arabia database under the Makkah Region (state_id 2850) with full details, including its native name (مكة المكرمة), coordinates (21.42664, 39.82563), and population (2,427,924) (see city data).

The database uses the English name "Mecca" for this city, but it is the same as "Makkah" and is correctly linked to state_id 2850. If you do not see it in your local copy, make sure you are using the latest version of the dataset. If you still can't find it, check for "Mecca" in your cities table or file under state_id 2850.

If you need to add or correct city data, the process is to edit contributions/cities/SA.json and submit a pull request—IDs are auto-assigned by the system (contribution guide).
