I think the one from the Ubuntu repo is actually newer than the one used by the current CI:

gosu/noble-updates,noble-security 1.17-1ubuntu0.24.04.3 amd64
  Simple Go-based setuid+setgid+setgroups+exec

Also, it helps clean up the Docker files.
