autofs integration

Hello - this isn't an "issue" but I didn't know how else to get in contact with you.

This tool looks perfect for my cold storage project (write once-ish, read rarely). One of the ways I was hoping to use it was by integrating Autofs so that when I did attach the drive I could just browse the known path and the drive would be automatically mounted and available. Do you think there would be any issues using this (or even MergerFS) in combination with your tool?

I'm not sure how your "FUSE" mode will work but in theory I can see it presenting all the individual drives in their own filesystems which I then configure under Autofs and then group together under MergerFS for a single "cold storage" mountpoint that can then be shared via NFS/SMB/SSHFS.

This looks like an interesting use-case indeed. Well I have little experiences with autofs or even mergefs but let me give you a few ideas.

For your first point (browse gocatcli if storage is not mounted and browse the real storeage when available through autofs), this is just a suggestion and it would need testing but if you fuse mount with gocatcli before any autofs, then if the real drive gets available and is mounted by autofs on top of it, it would just hide the underlying fuse. In a way you'd have both filesystems mounted but if you ensure autofs is mounted last, then when it's available you're on the real drive.

For your second point, I'm not sure why you would mergeFS the two? Can you elaborate?
