Density of parttype=2,3,4

I wonder whether it might be possible to render column densities of particle types 2, 3 and 4 from files in Gadget-2 format. They represent star particles in my simulations and it would be particularly helpful to overplot their surface density contours on top of rendered figures showing gas (parttype=0) properties.

yes this is definitely possible, the main issue is that these particle types do not have a smoothing length defined, so one first needs to compute h on these particles (which needs an SPH code to do it...)
