[request] Override altmode in mobile view

Hi,

Please could the ALTMODE variables be more granular?  It defaults to false, however on mobile view, it still changes to altview.  Please could you add something like ALTVIEWFALLBACK false, so we can prevent that view from showing up?

I'd much rather see 2-3 columns of square icons if possible.

Not sure if you're still maintaining this dale.  It's a great project so I hope so :)
