Add flash screen flash

Would it be possible to add a flash screen and also customize it with the color I want to use?

It's not planned yet, but I've heard this request multiple times now.

Maybe I should think about intregrating it, as this app becomes more "mainstream"

I think this is a great idea. At home, at night, I often need some light to avoid stepping on the cat, but even at the lowest level my phone's flash is too bright. Having a screen flashlight with adjustable intensity and color (e.g. red, to avoid disrupting dark adaptation) would be greatly helpful.
