Regenerate Slug Button

Hello there

When I create a new entry, a slug is automatically generated from the title.

If I edit the title of a entry, the slug remains the same. Depending on the situation, this is fine. However, if I want the slug to match the entry title again, I currently have to delete the slug and save the post.

As a developer, I can look into how to adjust the slug again, and then I’ll know how to do it. But I think it’s too complicated for some end users.

In Neos CMS, there’s a “Regenerate Slug” button in the slug field that generates and inserts a new slug directly based on the (new) title. I think a button like this is

• self-explanatory
• you see the new slug right away instead of having to wait until after saving again
