Hi! I'm an intermediate programmer who has been learning how to code at school for about 3 years. The best advice I can give, as someone trying to learn programming while also having ADHD (so I don't absorb material easily), is to use AI. I'm not someone who enjoys using AI, but when I struggle with programming concepts, I use AI to explain step by step how to do something, and then I can ask it even more clarifying questions, even about the "stupidest" things. Also, there’s no one way you "should be" absorbing material! Everyone learns at their own pace :) What programming language are you trying to learn? |

Hi! Honestly, it’s completely normal to feel this way when you’re starting out. Learning to code is not something that clicks overnight. What helped me was practicing a little bit every day until it slowly became a habit. Even 20–30 minutes daily makes a big difference. |
