[Bug Report] - Sharing Feature Down

Describe the bug:

The Document Sharing feature is down. When we attempt to share a file with another user a 401 error which suggests a permission error.
Failed to share. Reason: Fetching the metadata of the Resource at [https://opencommons.net/hughtest/PASS/Documents/ID_Test.jpg] failed: [401] [].

Expected behavior:

Sharing and Unsharing a file

Actual Behavior:

File is not shared.

1. Go to Document
2. Click on Share
3. Select user to share with
4. See error

• Browser Firefox

did a few quick tests with @JaeGif ..

1. This issue needs to be tested on the hosted version pass-wine.vercel.app as this feature will work on localhost builds. Alternatively (and to be able to update the code for testing), the branch may need to be forked and hosted on vercel.

2. It seems to be .jpg specific (maybe all images)

3. Its possibly due to a metadata parsing error not giving correct permissions when the file is uploading

I wont have time to dig further into this for a bit. But if/when I do, I will post anything else to this issue.

Just to tag along after a little more playing with it some more this morning.

1. Seems to work everytime with a localhost pod, but not when using a public pod like opencommons. I did manage to recreate the error running PASS locally while logging in to my opencommons pod.

2. It seems type/image specific, uploaded a handful of different file types and png/jpg/jpeg all exhibited the issue, other file types did not. The selected document type, Drivers License/Passsport/Bank Statement/Other did not seem to affect it.

3. I noticed that some files even image types do share correctly. The files that do not share, also cannot be previewed and will give a 404 while the images that are shareable can be previewed.

UPDATE AFTER A BIT MORE TESTING
Finally, after leaving it for a while, and trying to share the same documents again, the documents that could not be shared before can be shared and previewed after some time.

I think most likely, the image is:

1. not finished uploading when it is attempted to be shared causing us to share a resource that doesn't yet exist on the pod.
   and or
2. The current page is optimistically updating the uploaded file's information and the actual uploaded file hasn't been reported back to the page yet.

It looks like it is specifically related to Image files. PNG and JPEG cause the error. I was able to share a PDF file.
