Codec forcing problem. Not sure if bug or feature request.

I can choose which codecs to allow and that seems to work on youtube.com, but on sites with embedded YouTube videos or streams, the setting does not work.
I suspect this behavior is caused by the add-on only getting access to website-data from chromium on youtube.com.
