This project evolved from a collaboration of two busy people with an interest in the same idea (myself and @andrew).

We've both been busy with our regular responsibilities lately and would love to find more folks who have time to collaborate on this issue and help build this repository into a reliable tool for detecting simple (and maybe more complex) forms of explicit AI disclosure and making it easier for tools like Augur and ecosyste.ms to provide repositories with data on AI contribution activity.

To get involved, join the CHAOSS Slack in the #data-ai-detection-action channel if you'd like to interact with other maintainers/contributors on this project!

I think the primary need is Go developers, but having people help build/grow the community or provide input on open issues, documenting this, etc would also be helpful

Thanks for reaching out! I've marked a couple of issues as "good first issue" that may be a good start. Theyre both not as dead-simple as I would like, but theyre probbaly among the best we have right now as this repo gets up and running.

I'd be happy to chat in more detail over on the CHAOSS Slack in the #data-ai-detection-action channel if that helps too! Maybe we can help you create a new task (or something we havent thought of) based on your interests and the goals of this project.
