I was wondering if SimpleX chat https://github.com/simplex-chat/simplex-chat has been looked at for integration. I could not find any mention in the search

the only issue i see with this request is SimpleX doesn't have an API that can be easily adapted to. the URL you shared is rust libraries. It may not be trivial to build in all of the cryptograpy associated with the smx tool back into Python.

As a 'starting point', maybe Apprise could wrap the smx binary? Or what was your hope here? Basically this is a very large under-taking. I would also love/support any PR's you may wish ot make here?
