Please add support for Debian 13 Trixie

So once i tried installing this on my Debian 13 pc and it did not go well.

IT LITERALLY BROKE THE SOFTWARE INDEX

So please just add support for Debian 13's new rules and pip support.

I've searched for similar issues already, and my issue has not been reported yet.

I never got 2.6.1 to work on Debian 12, but 3.0.0 worked a treat.
There were 3.0.0 beta debs, i only grabbed and installed the ones for 12, which is why I largely still run 12... There were debs for trixie as well, but have had no luck so far with wayback machine on github.
master branch is 3.0 beta, as I too am ready to move on to Trixie.
Giving it a pull now...

Howdy built fine (no errors), (in about 1 second) lacks dlib and the dlib data installed... trying to dig out how to do that again...
Did have to change the path for python to /usr/bin/python3 in meson config in howdy dir and add the stated deps to build from source (in the readme.md)

Seems fully borked, doesn't even try to build (no errors/warnings etc, just completes in 2 seconds) , shame as it was working. The howdy binaries do seem to work.
Trying to see if it is somehow precompiled and just needs the dlib data, but I'm doubtful...

Master IS now 3.0.0 but the build seems troublesome and the packaged builds are gone.
After trying several of the fine comments here, trying it on kde-neon as someone seems to have the build from git working.

The simplest way to get howdy working on Trixie is to do the following:

Download the following packages from this repository -- ppa:ubuntuhandbook1/howdy this is the link to follow: (https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuhandbook1/+archive/ubuntu/howdy/+packages)

1. dlib-models_1.0.0-0build1~2510_all.deb
2. howdy_3.0.0+git20251003~0questing1_all.deb
3. python3-dlib_19.24-0build1~2510_amd64.deb

Install all files via the software app or via terminal with DPKG command.

Next step is to install the following packages:

sudo apt install python3-numpy python3-opencv python3-dlib libpam-python dlib-models libinireader0

Then go ahead and follow the steps to configure howdy and add your face. (Smile lol!)

Should be working flawlessly.....
