[BWA-198] Authenticator -> Password Manager on iOS not working

Steps To Reproduce

1. Hold the TOTP item in Authenticator
2. choose "copy to bitwarden Vault"

Expected Result

until last releases, both PM and Authenticator [(PM ver 2025.9.1 (2605) and Auth ver 2025.9.1 (216)] this awesome function worked properly in iOS (Iphone), and it is super handy while i am thinking to subscribe soon for PM - .
But since last apps the copy function doesn’t work anymore. Either adding a new item in PM or adding the TOTP calculator to an existing item only get to create a new one or opening the exiting one in edit mode.

Thank you to check on this, most likely a bug introduced when adding new features..
I am thinking now that the bug may be in the Password Manager and not the Authenticator...

Another user here. -- If I understand you correctly, both ways don't work for you, right now?!

So, to "copy" a code from the authenticator app into the password manager/vault doesn't work - and a new TOTP code from the password manager/vault doesn't show up in the authenticator app also, though the "sync" is activated?

If that's the case, you could add that other part to the "Actual Result", too.

hello pamperer..

sync is on and works properly, or did.. i can't test it now until i am able to first copy a code to PM..
for how i get it, the sync shows in the Authenticator the TOPT codes that are in the PM, and this works good still
the problem is when its created a new code in Authenticator and trying to pass it to the PM..
if the thread is wrong, or theres a better one (bug may be most likely in PM), please move it if you can.. or tell me how to do it, this is my first post and totally a newbie :-)

I am sorry to come back here again with this issue, but the new release 2025.10.0 (2645) of Password Manager did not solve the problem..

[update] The issue was partly solved actually: when passing from Authenticator to PM and creating a new item in PM, the new item is created and the TOTP code passed correctly, and synced back with that Authenticator app (if syncing activated ofc). But if i try to add to an existing item in PM, PM app just open the existing item, in view mode...

The issue was not solved with the last release of PM [2025.10.1 (2691)].

As a resume:

• trying to copy a totp item form Authernticator to Password Manager

1 - copying the item to a new PM item works properly [ this bug was partially solved with 2025.10.0 (2645) and still working in last version]

2 - trying to copy the item to an existing PM item - using search while PM can't find a matching item by itself - will only open the chosen PM item in view mode

copying totp to PM is a really handy opportunity toward subscribing to PM and use it as authenticator itself

I also just ran into this. Works fine on Android. As a workaround I exported my iOS vault to a file, imported via the android client.
