Desktop browser extension use in Orion iOS broken

1. Open Orion Browser on iOS
2. Install Firefox or Chrome Bitwarden extension
3. Open the extension

Expected Result

Extension loads and shows configuration or content of the extension

Actual Result

Stuck on loader

I have read of testimonials online of people successfully using the desktop extension in Orion iOS in the past, but recent versions have broken compatibility. I tested the latest version (2026.2.0) as well as 2025.2.0 which doesn't work either, but 2024.6.0 works fine. I know it's not an officially supported way of using the extension but it's too bad that it used to work fine, and doesn't anymore.

Yes, to use the browser extensions on mobile (!) browsers is not supported by Bitwarden.

You should use the Bitwarden mobile app instead (on iOS and Android).

Are you self-hosting your Bitwarden server? If yes, what version?

maybe one of the API's isn't supported by orion? They almost have all api's, but not all of them yet. Maybe bitwarden uses one of those. The only thing you can do about it is to switch to android (I'm just kidding, but the only option is to use the app)
