This feature was mentioned in #501
A potential fix is included in this new issue.
Current behaviour
In lightbox view, when the user clicks the image to zoom in, the zoom position is fixed.
Please describe the feature you want to be implemented.
In lightbox view, when the user clicks the image to zoom in, the zoom position follows mouse click position.
The code to implement this is in my repo here, although I used the distribution version by accident. Some effort will be needed to merge the changes.
A demo of glightbox with the desired zoom functionality is shown here. Click on the green tree trunk.
Explain why the feature is useful
This is more intuitive, and the user does not have to drag the zoomed in image to the desired position.
Have you seen it somewhere else?
This is the default behaviour of image viewers like Adobe Lightroom, and also for Chrome when u view an image in the new tab
