optional arg with a default value

How do I specify a default value for an optional arg that has several choices? Is the default simply whatever the arg is initialized to beforehand?

Yes, the default is whatever is assigned to the bound value initially. Although for the lyra::main() style you specify that initial value with the option itself (https://www.bfgroup.xyz/Lyra/lyra.html#_main).
