beet field albumtype and albumtypes are not in sync (genre/genres as well)

Not sure if this is by reason or an accident, but albumtype and albumtypes are not in sync, so I always have to set both.

Written to the file's fields is albumtypes it seems

Does this mean I should ignore albumtype altogether and also not use it in unique, etc?

Are genres now working the same (haven't updated yet)?

The old genre field has been removed and we only deal with genres now.

Regarding albumtypes, I'm considering also dropping albumtype altogether and just keeping albumtypes because of this out-of-sync issue.

Note that for now you want to make sure that albumtype maps to the first element in albumtypes.

  bracket: '()'

to use albumtypes or atypes or $atypes or not at all?
I'm not totally sure based on https://beets.readthedocs.io/en/v2.7.1/plugins/albumtypes.html#albumtypes-plugin

$atypes only adjusts the formatting of your albumtypes. Try using albumtypes instead of albumtype there as it should be more stable?
