I use lastgenre but mainly for organising existing genre tags. I therefore have two questions/feature requests:
1. Prevent lastgrenre from even making a call to Last.fm for a genre at all i.e. only work on existing tags
It might be a little odd for a plugin who's raison d'etre is to seek out missing genres, but hey-ho. The reason is that I would like to speed up the process and also to prevent any unwanted Last.fm genres from nuking what I already have; genres are extremely subjective.
I appreciate that this is likely a feature request.
2. replace a genre with the entire canonical branch for said genre
A typical genre might look something like:
Electronic; Techno; Acid Techno. My canonical tree might look like:
Some tracks might only have
Acid Technoas a genre, in which case I would like lastgenre to replace it withElectronic; Techno; Acid Techno.Likewise, if a track only has
Technothen I would like it to be replaced withElectronic; Techno; This might already be possible, although I have everything I can think of without success.
