Are login nodes supported on isolated subnets?

Documentation states you can use on public or private subnets, but no mention of isolated (meaning no internet connectivity via an internet gateway or nat gateway). The intention here is the HPC cluster can only be accessed on internal private networks.

Might I also suggest a documentation update, and maybe updating this section with login nodes information?

Hi @spicysomtam,

To use LoginNode in a single subnet with no internet access, except for the endpoints listed in the official document, you should also create and configure the following VPC endpoints:

1. Service: Amazon Elastic Load Balancing, Service Name: com.amazonaws.region-id.elasticloadbalancing, Type: Interface
2. Service: Amazon Auto Scaling, Service Name: com.amazonaws.region-id.autoscaling, Type: Interface

If you are in China partition, create and configure the following VPC endpoints instead:

1. Service: Amazon Elastic Load Balancing, Service Name: com.amazonaws.region-id.elasticloadbalancing, Type: Interface
2. Service: Amazon Auto Scaling, Service Name: cn.com.amazonaws.region-id.autoscaling, Type: Interface
