Launch Mechanical on an HPC Cluster via Slurm and execute a python script.

Hello all,

I am trying to launch Mechanical on an HPC Cluster using SLURM and then execute a Python script.

ansys-mechanical — PyMechanical

However, when I run the above CLI command, I encountered the attached error.

For reference, I have included the Python script, the Slurm submission script, and the log file for your reference.

Do you have any insights into why the command fails or any recommendations for further investigation?

@oliadag This is most likely a bug with how we extract version via ansys-tools-path. This package expects a path like
install/ansys_inc/v261/aisol/.workbench where version number can be easily extracted. But your path is mnt/apps/prebuilt/ansys/2025R1/aisol/.workbench.
