Temurin Debs can't be installed on 32bit debian/ubuntu after t64 transitions (debian 13+, ubuntu 24.04+)

What are you trying to do?
install temurin debian builds on 32bit (eg: armhf) debian/ubuntu after t64 transitions (debian 13+, ubuntu 24.04+)

Expected behaviour:
install works

Observed behaviour:
install fails due to missing packages because the temurin builds depend on packages that no longer exist on 32bit distros (the non-t64 packages) and don't have an alias (on purpose)

We don't support 32-bit systems (and haven't for some time: adoptium/adoptium-support#521) I'm afraid.

@karianna existing older LTS JDK versions have builds/debs in the repository. I understand that newer JDK versions don't support 32bit however older versions that you still build and update for DO have up to date 32bit builds (JDK 17, 11, and 8) and need this fixed.

Please re-open, this is not invalid. 32bit is still supported on these older LTS version https://adoptium.net/supported-platforms

here is one example, due to the t64 transition, libasound2 is not available on 32bit systems because the binary ABI compatibility changed, so they renamed the package is libasound2t64 so that developers of packages that depend on that library actually build their software and check that it still works after the ABI changes on 32bit.

For clarity, this will be from the. deb installer package (so perhaps needs to be moved to the installer repo) and should be able to be replicated on Ubuntu 24.04/arm32

Hmm I can't replicate this (tested on an Ubuntu 24.04 container which is the version listed in this issue's description). The libasound2 dependency is fulfilled automatically by liboss4-salsa-asound2 so I don't get the error above.
