Portal has no music

[Sugarteeth]

There is no music. Sound {vfx, sound effects, GLaDOS, the radio} plays just fine, but all background music (and the end credits) are completely silent. For some inexplicable reason, only the game Portal has this issue on my machine. There were several other bugs I encountered, but I don't remember them all, such as a crash anytime I tried to play with multithreaded rendering.
