No login user

After installing Asahi Ubuntu Server 22.04 on my Macbook Pro M2 Max. I'm stuck logging into the server, but since I didn't create a user in the installation process, I can't log in to the server (since the installation process doesn't say how or even if you have to create a user, it just goes straight forward). I'm pretty new to this, so it's probably all my fault and I'm just making a mistake. However, I installed Ubuntu from the original page on other machines before and only have this specific issue when using Asahi. I want to use Asahi Ubuntu Server for home lab proposes, so any help will be appreciated.

Try ubuntu:ubuntu. I suppose we missed updating 22.04 to have an interactive setup, everything after it should have that.

I'm really sure that I already tried with ubuntu:ubuntu aswell as ubuntu with no pass, Ubuntu:Ubuntu (capital letter), Hostname: with no pass, hostname:hostname, etc... But i'm doing a fresh install right now, just in case please don't close this issue just in case I need more help.

Update: I installed Ubuntu Server 24.04.2 LTS from the default branch, installation process is the same as before, no user configuration at all, I tried with ubuntu:ubuntu and ubuntu:"" ("" = empty/no pass) to get a login incorrect. Maybe I'm using the wrong branch but I'm not sure at all.

Previously you said you installed Ubuntu Server 22.04, 24.04 works differently. How exactly are you trying to install this and what do you mean by branch?

Sorry for the confusion, first I tried version 24.04, and then I thought that if I couldn't solve the problem with that version I could use another version, that was when I installed version 22.04, as for the installation I am following the steps of README. md from the repository, and with the branches, I noticed that there are several named after different Ubuntu flavors. So I thought each branch was a different version, but I'm not sure. I don't know if more people have had this problem and from what I've searched I haven't found anyone with the same problem as me so I'm most likely just screwing it up.

https://ubuntuasahi.org/install shouldn't expose any flavors iirc, the only choice you should have is Desktop vs Server.

24.04 should have an interactive user creation menu on first boot I think, if it doesn't at least 25.04 does for certain. I don't have access to my test mac mini right now so I can't reproduce it at the moment, one thing I know for certain is that all builds prior to the interactive user creation should have ubuntu:ubuntu set by default.

You can always boot with init=/bin/bash passed on the kernel command line and use passwd to set the root password to whatever you'd like.

So the version I installed first was Ubuntu Server 24.04 from "https://ubuntuasahi.org/install", but after that I installed Ubuntu Server 22.04 from "https://tobhe.de/ubuntu/install". I surrelly can say that neither of them had the interactive user creation menu, far from a timezone, a hostname and a root password that i already tried to login with at both times. I can't find no 25.04 Server version, so I assume i'm going to have to build it myself. I'm just going to localhost a Pterodactyl Panel, so basically i can still use the 22.04/24.04 (both are supported) desktop version but just for personal preferences I prefer a Server version, anyway, I'll try to use the kernel command line, if that doesn't work i'll just use the desktop version.

I just tested with the official version on https://ubuntuasahi.org/install and that works fine on my machine and gives me an interactive prompt on first boot to set up user, hostname and timezone. Not sure why it doesn't work on your device. I'll have to update my macos and run some more tests tomorrow.
