Code of Conduct

Our Pledge

We as members, contributors, and leaders pledge to make participation in this project a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, visible or invisible disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

We pledge to act and interact in ways that contribute to an open, welcoming, diverse, inclusive, and healthy community.

Our Standards

Positive behaviour includes:

  • Being respectful of differing opinions, viewpoints, and experiences
  • Giving and gracefully accepting constructive feedback
  • Accepting responsibility and apologizing when we make mistakes
  • Focusing on what is best for the overall community
  • Showing empathy and welcoming newcomers

Unacceptable behaviour includes:

  • Sexualized language or imagery, and sexual attention or advances of any kind
  • Trolling, insulting or derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks
  • Public or private harassment
  • Publishing others' private information without their explicit permission
  • Deliberately introducing bugs, security vulnerabilities, or malicious code
  • Spam, commercial solicitation, or off-topic discussion
  • Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies within all project spaces — GitHub repositories (code, issues, pull requests, discussions), any communication channels, and public representation of the project.

Enforcement

Project maintainers are responsible for clarifying and enforcing these standards. They have the right to remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, code, issues, and other contributions not aligned with this Code of Conduct, and will communicate reasons for moderation decisions when appropriate.

Violations will result in consequences proportional to their severity:

  1. Correction — A private written warning explaining the violation.
  2. Warning — A formal warning with restrictions on interaction for a specified period.
  3. Temporary Ban — A temporary ban from community interaction.
  4. Permanent Ban — A permanent ban from all community interaction.

Reporting

If you experience or witness unacceptable behaviour, please report it by contacting the project maintainers (see CODEOWNERS). All reports will be handled with discretion and confidentiality.
