(How) can I use Anubis without being web server admin?

I am on a shared web server that is using Litespeed and a DirectAdmin control panel.
I do not see Litespeed mentioned at https://anubis.techaro.lol/docs/category/environments
Yet I would like to protect my PHP+MariaDB sites from crawlers who are accessing from too many IPs causing even multiple visits per second.

I may be able to setup custom Linux server to serve as some kind of a proxy (just traffic no computing, storage) to the currently used shared server on which i am not admin, in case there is any layman step-by-step guide (suitable for those who does not know how to manage web server/proxy), but I have not found one.

If Anubis can not be used by me, then please what are other software which I can use (except Cloudflare)?
