Is Streamedian no longer active?

I have downloaded the zip file from this repository, and opened up the example page: html5_rtsp_player-master/example/index.html. I put in the rtsp link and while a video element appears, nothing happens, and clicking the play button does nothing. I get the same result whether "continuous playback" is selected or not. The rtsp link I entered works in VLC and ffplay, so I know it is valid. Also, when I follow links to the streamedian.com website, I get a "bad gateway" error.

This is a temporary server failure. Use the latest versions of the player and proxy from the website. The demo also works on the site and if your link is active, you can watch it on the site.

Well the site is up now. I tried on your live site but still doesn't work. As I said, I use the same link with ffplay and it works, so I know the link is good.

Nevertheless, does using Streamedian require using a server at Streamedian? I get that impression. I am looking for a totally client-side solution.

I am unable to get on streamedian.com again (no error message this time, just timeout as the page won't load). I'll wait and try again later in order to give the console output you requested.

In the mean time, thank you for the confirmation about a client-side solution. As a second best to a "totally client-side solution", can streamedian server be installed locally on my computer? And if not, is there something similar that can?

Yes, the provider is conducting regular maintenance work with the servers, so they will be unavailable for some time.

You can install a proxy on your server and use it autonomously.
