Precip groups and remarks

Have you thought about or ventured into decoding variables after the "RMK" section?
hourly, 6 hour, 24hour precip and temperatures would be useful to have and these are found in the remarks section of metar code.

Parsing RMK information is not a top priority for us for the moment due to the fact that it is not normalised by ICAO and is quite specific to North America.

It could be done in a couple of month or next year, if time permits and if the specification is clear (which is not the case for me at the moment) On that matter do you have some links or documents related to this ?

In the weather business, which is where I work and am coding for, the important parts are the following groups in the remarks section:
6//// - 6 hour accumulative precip
7//// - 24 hour accumulative precip
1//// - 6 hour max
2//// - 6 hour min
4//////// - 24 hour max and min
T//////// - hourly temperature to the tenth degree celcius

I have written some rough code inside my script that is using your object, with some of the same
ideas you used.

160 or $max24<-69){$max24 = null;}//qc'ing bad temp if($min24>160 or $min24<-69){$min24 = null;}//qc'ing bad dewpoint }else {$hourlytemp24=null;} } ...?>

is there any particular order between the groups you are talking about ?
Or can they be in any order ?

For my purposes, I wrote some of my own code to get what i needed, but if you're just looking to further your code, it really doesn't matter the order.
The RMK section of the code is sometimes a hodge podge of information, but for the most part, here are the important variables:

6//// - 6 hour accumulative precip
7//// - 24 hour accumulative precip
1//// - 6 hour max
2//// - 6 hour min
4//////// - 24 hour max and min
T//////// - hourly temperature to the tenth degree celcius
