Finding a way to store attendance in optimum way

1. Current implmentation follows a typical spreadsheet format
2. But is there a new way to optimize the data more easily
3. Needs more idea on this.

The db should store only absent students of a particular period, like you suggested in the last meeting.

• Assuming a very conservative average of 40/60 students present, we could use only a third of the current required space to store the same data.
• The frontend should display the details in spreadsheet format, we could use filter student by sem and dept to get all students in a class, then use the absentee's data to generate full report.

Lol thanks. That's helpful. But as I told in other meeting. The tradeoff is complexity. It will raise complexity on programming as ist SQL DB. This would be more like a one-to-many relation in which for a particular date students absent in an academic year.
