Stopped working while downloading messages from iCloud, won't open anymore

So I successfully set everything up today (after configuring for "self-hosting" using my Macbook). Everything seemed to work fine and the messages continued to download all the way from 2017. Last time I checked it was at 2022 when it stopped responding.

Killing the app doesn't help, app opens to a logo and then screen goes blank. No message, no nothing, but the phone gets hot. After a while it makes phone unresponsive, at one point even the home screen crashed on my Nothing 3.

I checked and the App' user data occupies some 350MB of space, so nothing unreasonably high?

Happy to debug further using adb, but would appreciate some guidance on how to proceed here — I'm returning to Android after nearly a decade of hiatus in Cupertino.

I am guessing this is somewhat related to #166.

EDIT: I killed all the background services and now the app starts again. I expect this will happen again, though, as the messages continue to download.

This also seems to be happening on Windows 11, for what it's worth. After enabling iCloud sync, the app has become unusable. It's always using ~5-6% CPU in task manager and just hangs. I do have about 26gb of message data in iCloud.

Edit: Reading it back, I don't want this message to come across agro! I just wanted to add my voice to the pile for the beta feature. Mostly to mention it was on Windows to indicate it was likely a systemic issue, not an architecture specific issue.

Yes, something is off, unfortunately, for me the app seems to be redownloading all the messages even though all of them were synced up already.

In all fairness, iCloud sync is marked as Beta. Happy to debug it, as mentioned.
