Smoother scrolling in the feed

I am aware that the app is still early in development, and some things are probably already on your radar anyway. To make sure nothing gets missed, I'll open a series of issues with things I've noticed.

Compared to the official Mastodon app, the scrolling in the feed is not yet as smooth as it could be. I'm not entirely sure, but I have the feeling that it can be a especially jerky when images are displayed.

@cadeyrn Are you using one of the apk's from the release section or are you building the app from android studio?

I am using the APKs from the GitHub release section. They are very smooth compared to the self compiled "debug" builds, as Jetpack is not optimized in debug builds. But compared to the official Mastodon app and if I don't scroll too fast, I sometimes feel micro stutters when scrolling.
