Installation procedure and question about browser exfiltration

Hello, thank you for this app, I've spent the past 2 months trying to learn how to use it in order to protect my PC from future hacks (I have no experience in this cybersec/sysadmin space), as I was hacked (bad) a few months ago. It was a clickfix hack that made use of the netsupport rat.

My apologies if these are dumb questions but —

1. Do I install both Appcontrol Manager and Harden System Security on both my local admin account and standard user account? If they're installed only in the admin account, not the standard user account, will that be safe?

2. Is there a sequence to the installation? Can I install Appcontrol Manager before Harden System Security?

3. Do we something that prevents a malicious actor from sending your browser extension's files to his C2 server? In my case, the attacker enumerated across all my crypto wallet browser folders and sent the files over to himself.

If I'm not mistaken, he needed the passwords for my wallets in order to unlock them (metamask, rabby, keplr, phantom, etc wallets), so he closed my browser every time I tried to run defender, which caused me to think that defender was crashing my browser.
So after a couple more scans my unhardened defender reported "no threats found" and I thought it was safe to enter my password. And I stupidly keyed in my wallet's passwords, BAM the next moment I see my wallets getting wiped one by one. lol.

Hi,

1. Windows Apps are only installed per user, not machine wide. Use Microsoft Store to install them and they will be safely installed.
2. The order of installation doesn't matter; they are entirely separate and independent apps built for different purposes.
3. Not installing untrustworthy extensions would be a good starting point. You could use the Recommended preset in the Harden System Security app to automatically harden your system with optimal configurations.
