System update option ignored (roaming)

Settings > System > System updates
Yesterday, I switched manually from stable channel to beta channel, the updater immediately started to download the beta update 2025073000 in the background.

Problem :
It should not have started to download the update because of the setting "Permitted networks == Not roaming".

Context :
I was several hundreds of kms away from the country of my SIM card and the roaming pictogram was present in the top right corner.
Wifi was deactivated, and I was out of range of my saved wifi networks.
I was connected to a Wifi network 30min before, but at that moment I was on the stable channel.

I was able to trigger the bug 2 times :

• When updating from 2025071900 to 2025072800 beta
• When updating from 2025072800 to 2025073000 beta

It's possible you're using a VPN which is not passing through this information about the underlying network. Our System Updater doesn't appear to have any issue with handling this.

I don't have any VPN.
Maybe my telecom provider (Bouygues Telecom FR) is using a VPN or a proxy or whatever in its network when I am roaming in Germany.
