Hi @FunkyFr3sh,

You've probably heard the neverending project ReactOS. The graphics part works but not great. I assume, there's a considerable amount of overlap between the ReactOS video stack and this mature project of yours. Would you consider having a look at the status, join the community chat and see what outcome might be possible? We'd be glad even if you just have a look and an overview.

Edit: We try a lot of XP era games but most of the devs do not have as specific expertise as yours when it comes to GDI, DirectDraw and many other graphics-related topics.

Yes I know ReactOS, I actually wanted to try cnc-ddraw on it, but I couldn't get ReactOS to boot in my VM (this was about 2years ago). I don't think cnc-ddraw will help you a lot though, my goal was never to support every game that exists, my main interest was adding cool bonus features such as the shaders, windowed mode, etc.. (There's also no Direct3D support at all). WINE might be a better choice for you (I guess you're already using parts of it?)

It's not about if your software working on ReactOS, but masking it work on ReactOS by fixing the bugs brevenring it. You do have the skills of video stack. So, if it does not work, you're able to troubleshoot and pinpoint the problem. Either you or another community member can focus on fixing. Many of the times, it's the unknowns causing late response. But having the skills of a developer like you would help.

I suggest you give it a try with nightly builds, as everyday, we have newer versions. I believe vide stack big finding and fixing would help the community more than you can imagine.

Last note, so you remember which VM solution did you use?
