Due by February 24, 2026•0/1 issues closedThings that need to get into the next cesm3_0 development beta tag (the tag itself is likely near end of January) We should get our CTSM parts in before Christmas. This is the answer changing freeze for the coupled model. Answer changes that affect coupled model results -- have to be approved by Dave Lawrence after this point. An additional need added is to get CESM to work with the ifx compiler on Derecho. There are issues that came up in new testing in this area. - [x] cesm3_0_alpha08a Dec/08/2025 - [ ] cesm3_0_alpha08h
Due by February 24, 2026•48/54 issues closedFully coupled CMIP7 simulations need to begin. So the CMIP7 process needs to be finalized by this date.
Due by March 13, 2026This hasn't been prioritized yet, but this is something that we think really should happen. In order for it to really happen it needs to be moved into a tangible milestone. So putting it here means it's probably longer timescale than the existing milestones. As it isn't a more immediate priority, or we don't have the bandwidth to handle it, but we do think it's important to do at least long term. In many cases it's something we'd like to do NOW, but know it's not important enough to do immediately in order to get the true near term priorities done. In Scrum Agile Software Development Methodology (SDM) terminology this is something in the "Backlog".
