[Feature Request]: Export lyrics to `ass`/`srt`

Feature description

In order to make Karaoke videos, such as with Karaoke Mugen, lyric files of the srt or ass filetype are required. Thus, it would be nice if Chronograph could export the existing lrc or elrc files to these filetypes.

Proposed solution

Under the "Utilities" section when editing/syncing a song, there could be an option such as "Export to .srt" and/or "Export to .ass," which then creates the relevant file based on the (e)lrc data available.

I looked at the specifications of srt/ass files and both require each sync point to have the end timestamp, which makes them incompatible with LRC/eLRC.

LRC specification uses ONLY start timestamps of the line/word. So we cannot convert LRC to srt/ttml/ass/any format with end timestamps.

The only way I see, to make it without gigantic code changes, is to make a workaround to treat the next line start as the previous line end. But this will make line break moments uncomfortable.

The only true way in this situation is to implement another different syncing workflow, that will support end timestamps. This will give even more formats, such as TTML, which is also using end timestamps. And I'm already planning to implement it, but the ETA is unknown yet.

Could you please provide an example of ASS file you wanna Chronograph to support, since SRT I found successfully, but ASS not.

When you say "an ass file you want to support," do you mean an example file that I've created for lyrics? I also found some docs on the .ass file format, in case that's what you meant.

Yeah. I mean, could you send a file that you expect as an output Chronograph will generate on export. For me to understand the file structure

There's also the program Karaoke Mugen, which provides a template for karaoke subtitle files as well. If you want that specific version of this same song, I can try to link it!

I see this format contains a very large amount of data, unrelated to the lyrics itself. So I suggest a compromise.

Chronograph would export only the Events section with formatting you provided (if someone suggests another formatting, or opens an issue related to that, the system then could be updated to be dynamic through settings). The singer (in your case Watsky and Crowd) will be replaced by some configurable, through settings, name and enclosed into curly brackets, e.g {some_string_user_set}, so then, when you start all that complex formatting, you just open yours text editor and use its replace all feature, to replace this identifier with an actual singer name

That seems like a reasonable initial implementation! I don't know if there's a proper .ass spec, but if there is, I'm sure that it'd be helpful. You could also maybe see if the people at Mugen Karaoke might have some insight on how to do this conveniently and effectively, seeing as they manage some templates for making karaoke videos.

In the last month I was busy during passing medical examination for my work, got rejected🫩, collecting documents for another job, waiting for another medical examination and fell ill🤒

I made a pre-release with SRT support for now, so need to only implement ASS and we're finally there, I hope. I really thought it wound be faster, but the reject from the job made it's own changes to this timeline
