HST North fields

The UNIONS footprint overlaps with some HST fields:

• DEEP2/DEEP3, in W3, part of the 3DHST data. We have used these data to calibrate photometric redshifts.
• AEGIS, see below. HST imaging, spectroscopic data is DEEP2/3.
• GOODS-North. Unfortunately only one r-band tile is overlapping.

Goals

• add spectroscopic calibration data.
• assess blending
• improve star-galaxy separation.

I spoke to some people who use HST more than I do, and they said that the star-galaxy separation would be reliable to magnitude 27 or 28, so that should be more than enough for for us
