Hi,
I had the same problem with the MCP Server (with header authentication), which kept disconnecting whenever a new chat was opened. Reloading only fixed the problem for the current chat.
I was using Chainlit 2.7.1.1 previously. After updating to version 2.9.3, however, it now works as expected.

Note:
Before updating, I found that the issue occurred because the HTTP Request did not include the header information when a new chat was opened . However, the header information was included when adding a new MCP connection or reloading an existing one.

Thanks for the hint, I just tested it and it failed again. The release logs did not say anything related to this specific bug. Maybe I need to rewrite something in my code. Do you have any working example?

For MCP, I mostly used the function from the documentation (https://docs.chainlit.io/advanced-features/mcp).
My MCP server was of the streamable-http type, not SSE, and required a simple bearer token. Perhaps there is still a problem with SSE.
You can check in your browser which data is sent to your MCP server. In Firefox, press F12 and select Network Analysis.
If the data is currently being sent, there might be a problem with your MCP server.
