How to use emoji in dataview queries?

I would like to create a table with all files that include a specific tag e.g. #📥️ (defined in frontmatter)
The query
table tags
from ""
where tags = "📥️" is showing no results.
If i use where tags ="Inbox", it lists the files with the tag #Inbox
So somehow I can't query for graphical tags (i.e. emojis). Is there a way to query for emojis?

are you copy and pasting the emoji? trying inserting them fresh into the YAML header and the dataview query
