The recommendation of protonvpn
I have no experience with this particular service but I know that they have a free tier which could potentially go against the rule "if you aren't paying, you're the product"
Also should note that mullvad is discontinuing openvp support in jan 2026, and putting all focus on wiregaurd
Some sources claim that wiregaurd is inferior to openvpn for privacy and is less "battle tested" while others, refute that claim as unfounded.
