Instead of using an arbitrary range of 0-255 "units" to display the strength of the VOTER clients received signal, present the value as something more meaningful and easier to understand, such as a percentage.
I have implemented this in a very hacked-up version of Supermon that I use personally. The assumption of 0% = pure noise, and 100% = full quieting, seems to work well and make sense to everyone.
